First District Republican candidate Tim Huelskamp announced his endorsement of Ron Estes for state treasurer and the National Right to Life’s Political Action Committee’s endorsement of his campaign for Congress.
Huelskamp’s endorsement of Estes comes little surprise as Estes is the Republican candidate for the treasurer’s position. He will face incumbent Democrat Dennis McKinney on the November ballot. The race hasn’t quite captured the public’s attention, due in large part to a lack of public campaigning by either candidate.
National Right to Life’s endorsement of the current State Senator is also no surprise. Huelskamp ran as a conservative, pro-life candidate during the primary election. The endorsement reads eerily similar to the group’s endorsement of Moran saying both have shown a”committment to renewing a culture of life, not only in Kansas, but throughout the nation and in the U.S. Congress.”
Huelskamp face Democrat candidate Alan Jilka of Salina in the November general election.
