Putting any lingering doubts regarding Tracey Mann’s Slattery contributions to rest, Leroy Towns, Sen. Pat Roberts’ former Chief of Staff and Campaign Manager endorsed Tracey Mann.
From the release:
“This district has a long tradition of sending outstanding leaders to Congress. Tracey Mann is the best candidate in this field to carry on this tradition of strong leadership on rural issues and to fight the Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda in Washington,” said Towns.
Towns ran Senator Roberts first campaign for Congress and served as Roberts’ Chief of Staff from 1981 to 2004. He ran Roberts’ successful campaign for Senate in 1996 and his reelection campaign in 2002. He served as a strategic advisor to the Senator Roberts reelection campaign in 2008.
“The stakes are high in this election. We need to send the right representative to Washington. Tracey has the knowledge, skill and temperament to do a great job for the people of Kansas,” said Towns.
A native of Colby and a graduate of Kansas State University, Towns now teaches journalism and political communication at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
