  1. Yesterday, I addressed the two major seminal moments in The Topeka Showdown. Today I wish to address some miscellaneous points.

One of the reasons Mr. Tiahrt won the Sentinel poll was that he was very specific in his responses, while as always, Mr. Moran was very general. I.E. during the debate when Mr. Tiahrt asked Mr. Moran about his support of sanctuary cities does anybody remember his response?

No? Your right, there was no response…All you have to do is take a tour of Garden Plain, Liberal, Dodge City, and see how much support Mr. Moran has given to his constitutents out west on this issue.

Does anyone remember Mr. Tiahrt’s response to sancutary cities and the immigration problem? You bet…a 3 word response…our first step is to “build the fence.”

Amnesty, Sanctuary Cities…ask yourself who answers the questions regarding these issues and who does not? Hmmm. A man of true grit VS our modern day slick Willie.

Terrorism…which man do you think supports giving terrorists constitutional rights and access to our courts? I tell you it sure isn’t Mr. Tiahrt. Has anybody, anywhere gotten a straight answer from Mr. Moran explaining his support of something that is plainly unconstitutional? Nope…but we voters do see a nice variation of the rope a dope.

Finally, we, select, elect and pay these guys to go to Washington D.C. to uphold the Constitution of the United States and represent the state of Kansas. If I don’t get straight talk on the isssues of the day from my elected representative what good is it if the guy wraps himself in the Kansas flag and fatuously announces he is more “Kansas” than his opponent.

Mr. Moran, quit giving me the “Super Bowl Shuffle” and just answer the d— questions. Maybe you do need to return home permanently, and let Mr. Tiahrt uphold our interests and constutional rights.

  2. OOps, technical correction…Mr. Tiahrt did win the Sentinel Poll but I was refering to the KSNT Impresion Poll that was taken right after the Topeka debate. Mr. Tiahrt won that poll also, quite handily. Oh, and FYI; the last time I looked Mr. Tiahrt was also leading in the Ottawa-Herald Poll.
