Poll shows Brownback with big lead over Holland

Rasmussen Reports released a new poll Tuesday on the race for Kansas governor. The telephone survey puts Republican Brownback at 59 percent and Democrat Tom Holland 31 percent.

The survey also found that 69 percent on Kansans favor repealing the health care law, with 29 percent opposing repeal. Additionally, 27 percent of all voters surveyed considered themselves members of the Tea Party.

There was also some data on views about oil drilling and the gulf oil spill. Sixty-one percent support offshore oil drilling and 70 percent believe the oil spill will result in a devastating or long-term impact to the gulf.

More information and complete poll numbers here.

It should be noted that Rasmussen has been accused of slanting right in the past. So give credence to the results as you will.
