Former Alaska Governor and GOP Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin has formally thrown her support behind Todd Tiahrt today. A press release will be forthcoming from the Tiahrt campaign. However, Palin offered this statement on her Facebook account, which has been confirmed by Tiahrt’s staff.
Thank Todd Tiahrt for True Public Service
I’m happy to endorse Todd Tiahrt’s campaign to be the next U.S Senator from Kansas. Todd is a protector of our Constitution, a pro-family, pro-Second Amendment Commonsense Conservative who has never voted for a tax increase and has fought to end the wasteful spending coming out of Washington. He didn’t just stand on the sidelines complacently, but instead actually battled against the bailouts, the debt-ridden stimulus spending, the cap-and-tax energy schemes, and Obamacare. In fact, remember on the day Obamacare was being debated, Todd Tiahrt was on the House floor all day working to defeat it, and he’s helped lead the charge to repeal and replace Obamacare the moment it was signed into law. We can count on Todd to take on the liberal spending agenda of the Obama administration and fight for lower taxes, more individual freedom, and less government intrusion.

Wow! I knew Todd Tiahrt was gaining momentum after the Rove thing, but I didn’t know it was going this fast! I bet poor Jerry can’t even imagine a life without politics. I’m sorry, Jerry…. maybe you can be a lobbyist or something.

I hope that is not what we can expect out of Tiahrt. So we should really take Sarah’s word on this. Maybe she does not have the best judgment from time to time!
And Don’t give that whole, “She had to because he got her there” Bull Poop! She is suppose to stand up for her beliefs and take on Washington. She endorsed Mr. Washington!

When I heard that, it was the point I moved from undecided to Tiahrt. Kansans don’t want a John McCain-style Senator.
Jerry Moran was also enthusiastically endorsed ultra-RINO Steve Rose, the publisher of the Johnson County Sun news. In the past several elections, Rose, who calls himself a “republican” has endorsed Dennis Moore for Congress. The Moran campaign was so proud of this endorsement, their staff crowed about it on twitter!
Those kind of endorsements should make every Kansas conservative think very hard about the difference between what Jerry Moran says trying to get elected, and his moderate record in Washington, D.C. Slick slogans like “I am Kansas” are nice, but I’m going to vote for the true conservative – Todd Tiahrt.
