More Moran mythbusters

The Tiahrt campaign is taking aim at Jerry Moran’s claim that he “is Kansas” in its latest installment of Moran Mythbusters.

“Congressman Moran held what his campaign promoted as the ‘inaugural Jerry is Kansas’ rally, coincidentally, the same week it was revealed by Karl Rove that Moran attempted to trade his vote on legislation beneficial to Kansas businesses, for his campaign’s financial gain,” said Michelle Schroeder, spokesperson for the Tiahrt campaign. “Congressman Moran’s self-inflating campaign and self-serving conduct is not ‘Kansas.’ It is becoming more and more apparent that, despite his claims to the contrary, Jerry is Washington.”

“It is never appropriate for any member of Congress to barter their vote, and Kansans across the state are outraged by Congressman Moran’s willingness to put his own political career above the people of Kansas,” concluded Schroeder.

The latest installment can be seen here.

    • you have indicated what everybody has been saying about Jerry and that is he is a wimp. Todd is aggressive and that is what is needed in the Senate to get things done.

  2. Just when you think the Tiahrt campaign can’t possibly go any lower……..anyone who takes what Karl Rove says as “Gospel” must be drinking the Jonestown Kool-Aid. Seriously, Rove’s credibility on anything is a serious stretch of the imagination. I’ll always remember Karl as MC Rove http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5N6M7zKUUk&NR=1&feature=fvwp

  3. The Tiahrt campaign is imploding and they know it. People will remember Todd Tiahrt not by all of his accomplishments in Congress, but by the way he and his people act as they lose this race.

  4. Accomplishments…The Tiahrt Ammendments regarding, international Right to Life issues, The Tiahrt Ammendments protecting gun manufactures from being sued; protecting undercover cops; protecting privacy of gun owners; protection of right to bear arms.

These are some of Todd Tiahrt’s actual accomplishments. Jerry Moran’s? Nada. Zip. Zilch.

A Kansas state Senator once told me, “Jerry Moran is always testing the wind. He is the last to arrive and the first to leave.”

Kansans don’t need a reed in the wind, like Jerry Moran. We need an oak tree like Todd Tiahrt.

    • “Nada”? really? That is hysterical. What kind of koolaid do you drink?

      Do your research.

Moran: Huges advocate for banning the use of taxpayer dollars for abortion, Veteran’s 2nd Amendment Act, Open Fields Legislation, Concelead Carry Reciprocity… just to name a few.

And if you are a veteran or in law enforcement, you know who has REALLY been there to make a difference… Jerry Moran.

REGARDLESS of going back and forth about records and accomplishements. (which would take all day and then some) It comes down to character and integrity for me, and even if Tiahrt voted every way I wanted him to, I will not support him because of the apalling way he is operating his campaign.

      • Knowing Jerry personally and watching him through the years, I will say his character lacks that of Tiarht and I have been quite disappointed in him. A man of character does not leave his family behind so he can pursue a career miles away which Jerry has chosen to do. Jerry has twisted the truth all through his career in politics and it has come to the forefront in this campaign. Knowing Jerry as well as I do, he is imploding. His character is not consistent and he has been willing to give up his morals and values to try to win. Jerry won’t win because I truly believe the people of Kansas will see how inconsistent Jerry is. Todd has been consistent, provides references when referring to Jerry’s voting record and has been more effective in congress then Jerry. I will add this, that the campaign gathering Jerry had in Hays, when Jerry stated he sat down with Todd to discuss this campaign is in fact a blatant lie. I know through Jerry and his staff, that his never occurred. Jerry is not a man of character. He is a politician who has proven he will do just about anything to win – which he won’t do.
