First District candidate Tim Huelskamp annonced a 100 percent rating from American’s for Prosperity today, and took a swipe at rival Jim Barnett.
AFP is an organization that advocates for free-markets and limited government.
Huelskamp also had a 100% rating last year fighting for Kansas taxpayers, earning him a perfect score for the legislative term (2009-2010). Huelskamp’s opponent, Senator Jim Barnett, only received a 77% score for the term.
Derrick Sontag, State Director for AFP Kansas, said that: “Kansans have a real fiscal conservative in Tim Huelskamp. Tim has consistently been a leader in fighting wasteful spending and reducing the tax burden, even if it means going against his own party, and his AFP rating reflects that.”
