Huelskamp emphasizes disagreements with EPA

Tim Huelskamp, First District congressional candidate, stopped by McPherson today, speaking to a about a dozen individuals at The Well downtown.

Huelskamp spent much of the time speaking about the need to limit the power of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Huelskamp said the EPA was part of an “out of control” bureacracy and criticized the agency’s recent attempted regulations, such as regulating the output of methane from cows.

He also heavily criticized the proposed carbon credits legislation in Washington, which he called “cap and tax.” The legislation would be devastating to McPherson’s refinery, Huelskamp said.

The stop lasted about an hour.
