Rob Wasinger announced Monday that he would embarking on a district-wide tour coined “Rob’s for Jobs.”
“Our rural communities are struggling economically, and instead of looking for excuses, I want to talk about solutions,” said Wasinger. “I look forward to discussing my ideas to revitalize our rural economy and listening to the ideas of the citizens of the Big First.”
Wasinger has made several tour stops within the district but will now attempt to cover all 69 counties. Several of the 1st District candidates have started touring the district in an attempt to shake hands and pick up votes from residents throughout the district.
The 1st Congressional District is one of the largest congressional districts in the country. Current 1st District Representative Jerry Moran completes a district tour every year, stopping in a 69 districts. Several candidates hoping to take his seat have vowed to continue the tradition, if elected.
