Bullet meets foot

Karl Rove is appearing in an 2010 U.S. Census ad, in order to stem the tide of conservatives opting not to answer the federally-mandated, once in a decade, national head count.

Refusal to fill out the census is a growing fad among those who identify with the Tea Party movement, and other groups nervous about the rise of “big government”. Leaving aside the various federal legal entanglements that come with that act (i.e. – it’s illegal), it’s a really dumb move for people that want to see a new Congress. The census is how we draw, create or remove congressional districts. So, if being undercounted is your thing, by all means, feel free to skip it. You’ll absolutely get a new Congress. I just don’t think you’ll like it.
